Most of you already know that back in December i got an iphone (contest prize), and subsequently sold my beloved P1 (while it had some value). Together with UIQ´s slow death, that made me stop posting here frequently.

Interesting article at The Inquirer, stating that UIQ may be rescued. It seems there good chance UIQ will be taken over by some other company. To do what, that´s the question. One thing is for sure, UIQ´s engineering knowhow is certainly an interesting asset for other companies.

This is really sad. And puts alot of doubts on if UIQ will really contribute with anything to the Symbian Foundation, or if it really will be just s60 v6. Read on (google translation).

This is interesting. Recently announced Symbian Foundation Executive Director Lee Williams gave an interview to All About Symbian (AAS) where among other things he mentions briefly what be expected from UIQ´s contribution to the unified Symbian OS:

The sad news of the last days have been heavily discussed on the internet. Everyday we find new opinions and coments about UIQ´s announced end.
I want to believe TechnicalMarkus when he says UIQ may be dead in body, but it’s spirit will live on through the Symbian Foundation.” Let´s really hope so.
