Our russian friends from smart-se.ru have started two new interesting projects:

igallery by sck: iphone style image gallery. Pay attention its a very early beta, and that right now photos have to be on d:/picture. More info here.
After alot of waiting, g900 users finally have access to an official version of fring for their devices. Can anyone check if this version works with g700 to???
Shozu is one of my favourite apps. I use it mainly to upload photos to flickr and videos to youtube, but it can do so much more.
Some months ago, i asked Shozu about version 4.0 for UIQ3, and their were kind enough to send me the beta for testing. I did test it, and give feedback, namely saying this version was already stable and working very well.
However, alot of time has passed, and this version was never released to public. More, i tried to contact Shozu again, about the status of UIQ3 version, and did not get a single answer.
So i decided to provide this beta version for you guys to test. I think its good enough, but you can always use the older version.
According to this headline at uiq.com, UIQ Technologies will be present on the show floor in London, on the 21 and 22nd October.
We are curious to see what comes out of this, specially because they say: Follow the developer trail and explore the latest UIQ demo (emulator) in our stand. Join the tour of TOUCH and experience the flexibility of UIQ. That´s right, that´s what is surfacing from the labs. Curiosity is bigger because we heard UIQ4/Touch will probably never be a reality (and that does make sense).
Good news, Gary just released the new Gdesk Designer aplication, and now people can edit gdesk designes on any machine that supports java (pc, mac, etc).

By the way, if you guys didn´t notice, there´s another small upate for gdesk itself, version 033c.
Answering to our recent plea for a place to join together the UIQ3 hacks/mods scene, our friend Nicola from (aka Nikotra) managed to put together http:\\www.uiq-look.org, a site base on opendesktop.org.
We at UIQblog endorse uiq-look.org as the place of choice for both UIQ3 artists, modders, hackers, and for the UIQ3 userbase to keep up with the all the new stuff on the scene. Be it themes, gdesk themes, icon packs, other modds and hacks, all should be made available in this place.
So, lets start using it!
