Process Explorer starts where task managers end. It lists all programs running on the phone, including server processes that run invisibly in the background, and are not shown by task managers. Detailed information is presented on each process, including child threads and windows, that was never before available. Process Explorer can terminate any application and server process*. The Cleanup command performs automated multiple termination which may lead to free memory amounts previously unprecedented. While Process Explorer is most useful on early UIQ3 phones with notoriously low memory, it is also a valuable general tool on any UIQ3 device, for analytical purposes and for killing the occasional “stray process”.

After SE sort off doing the same (or not), it was motorola´s time to state they will continue to support UIQ through a press release issued by Christy Wyatt, Vice President, Software Platforms & Ecosystem.

Wow. Its not been long since pandora´s box was opened. And nevertheless things thought impossible are now a reality: walkman 3.0, G900 notes aplication, increasing sound volume, etc.
Now let me tell you the latest developments: some weeks ago, gapata managed to simplify the process of changing system icons by creating a method of generating a sis installer - now its as simple as installing a theme. Today, swmail managed another breakthrough, and its now possible to effectively replace old PDF+ and Quickoffice ROM versions with the newer 1.80.09 and 4.0.256 versions, extracted from the G900.
I end this article by stating the obvious: all this enthusiasm and praise about things that are a bit “shady” could instead be focused on SE if only they did the right thing: provide firmware updates that actually added value to their devices like their competition does. Instead, they prefer to “kill” UIQ3.

Ah… you guys in other parts of the world are lucky to get this luxurious looking smartphone. I dont know whether or not it will be available in my place. The previous Z8 is nowhere to be found here in Kuala Lumpur. Anyway… AAS Team got their hands on the Z10 and posted their opinions on the Design, Form and Function. But in all fairness, I think they are comparing it too much to all S60 out there. I’ll save my judgements for myself … If you got 5 minutes extra time, just visit AAS and read the piece! Oh… if any of you out there are willing to send us (a loaner) Z10 for review, we’ll be extremely thankful…
