Even tough only a Java program, but Moblica RSS Reader is my choice of RSS readers this Christmas.
It has ready-made feeds, but you can add from a wide selection of news, entertainment or technology feeds with the built in favorite selector or add your own feeds, eg. The UIQ Evangelist.
The good thing about this reader is that it shows images and has large part or the full article at hand.

Why? Google Reader works very well and uses a lot less data. Plus you get the same feeds everywhere you go. As soon as Google Reader came along, I think almost all RSS Readers become obsolete…

i agree…google reader rules…it just needs an offline app for mobile…
