How to change system icons:

Download the system icons to a folder on your UIQ-mobile. 



* Caps “Disabled”.

* Use of X-plore 1.22 to edit files on your C:/ 



(a) Do not include any x_loc.rsc or x_loc.r16 files now, but only icon files (.mbm)  that appear in the image below (for now).

(b) Move now all the icon files to C:/resource/apps/ and answer “Yes” if you will overwrite them.

(c) Open now each icons_loc.r06 file (.r06 is Swedish, you might have other code on your mobile) with the “Edit” function on the X-plore 1.22 program, in this example, we edit Alaunch_loc.r06 and it is located at C:/resource/apps/

(d) Edit now where it says Z: and change it to C: instead, see the image below.

(e) Save the file and do the same for all the other icons_loc.rxx files you wish to change, like this:

alaunch_loc.r06

contacts_loc.r06

qctrlpnl_loc.r06

qmapp_loc.r06

(f) Exit and restart your mobile. (Restart with hardware button, PowerOffer is not suitable for this mod).

So now you can just browse to various forums and picking up the icons as you like, even though it says only for English language.

G900 is a little bit different, cause they have other localization files, like this:

Ps. If you use English language (.rsc) on your phone, So no need, most of the time to change x_loc.rxx files, since the icon packs often include such files. -Just copy and paste!
