How to edit CorePlayer skins.

The procedure is pretty straight forward and you only have to rename the skin.cps file to skin.zip in order to open it and start editing or adding your own images. The files you need to edit is located at C:/Private/20012FA6/ also when finished editing the file, rename it back to skin.cps and save in mentioned location.
The guys (Loopin) over at another forum, has however already followed this procedure and created a set of 9 good looking and ready-made skins for us to use on our UIQ mobiles. So you don’t have to edit by yourself.

I already copy the skin.cps to the mention location, yet the skin doesn’t change. What did I miss?

I have heard others with the same problem as you, possibly the CP install the skin in a different folder depending on model? Make sure you have original skin.cps in mentioned location and try again.

I have the same problem as epinion and even posted messages on various forums. I’m editing the .ini file to see if that helps. Will post my findings out here.

Thanks for your enlightenment.
The file appear at D:/Private/20012FA6/ (because I install CP at memory card).
Apparently the file location is depending on where we install it (I don’t know about the model).
Well thanks again.

Never mind. It’s working now. I had installed CP to my M2 card and thus needed to copy the cps file to the d:/private/20012FA6/ folder. Sheesh! I’m such a fool.

I changed my w960’s Coreplayer skin to the HTC theme. It worked properly, and the skin is looking good. But it totally slowed down Coreplayer. It was working very slowly, videos weren’t playing properly.
I finally corrected the problem by reinstalling Coreplayer. I am not going to change my skin again!
