We´ve said it was a matter of time. UIQ3´s hacker-supreme swmail did not fail us yet again, and delivered what Sony Ericsson does not: now ALL UIQ3 phones can enjoy flash support.
This was done by porting the flash pluggin that is present on G700/G900 with R6J825 organizer firmware. Right now, it only runs swf content, i.e., it does not run flv (flash video), so for youtube flash conten we still have to rely on Core Player.
To see it running, install the pluggin, start Web (opera mobile), see if the box on More-Settings-Configuration-Allow Plugg-ins is checked, and go to http://www.happytreefriends.com (just an example)
I end this by recomending you guys to make a contribution to swmail´s work, like i and many did already. He his doing much of the work Sony Ericsson should have done!

fac0104, you need to have caps turned off (you can do this in the Capswitch app). Then install the app.

After installing CapsSwitch and turned it off i don’t see any change. When i look in the File manager i don’t see c:\bin. I just see \ and then 5 folders (Picture, music,Video, Document and other). If i try to copy the file installserver.exe to the phone memory (with the PC Suite option file manager) it says operation not suported.

You CAN´T use PC suite file manager for that,
Use an internal file explorer, like x-plore, sman, or swiss manager, be sure to have the option to show system files/folders on, and to what is asked.

Hi,
I successfully installed the flash plugin, but when I try to open website like youtube or happytreefriends (like example given), I get a “[plugin]” message where the flash movie should play. I am using P1i and browser is Opera mobile 9.5 beta. I tried switching off CAPS and rebooting the phone as well but to no avail. The “Allow Plugins” box is cheked in the browser settings.
Please help.

Hi there, I’ve installed the plugin on my P1 it’s working perfectly.
Someone above asked “How to open .swf files?” -in your browser you have to type this: “D:\your_flash_dir\flash.swf” without quotes (where your_flash_dir can be any directory and flash.swf can be any .swf flash file).
Hope everybody manage to install this plugin.
