Sometime ago, we mentioned both the G700 and G900 whitepapers refered that flash would come on the first firmware release. However, the update come, and no one seem to find the necessary pluggin, although even in with the first firmware there were bits of flash related files on both the G700 and G900.
Well, finally someone figured it out!!! Here´s hoping swmail, dark_skelenton, gapata and Co quickly port this over to the other UIQ3 phones. Kudos to extvision for the discovery.
Note: the screenshot above shows a flash page running on the g700.

It works pretty well, the way it’s done is with a “activator” site… it seems it actually downloads the official UIQ Opera Flash plugin from Macromedia.
I have tried a couple of things, FLV doesn’t work but mostly Flash things works, but laggy if it has to do fading.

Flash capability is a bright ray of sunshine into the paling UIQ world. Here’s wishing for a most successful port. I’d love to watch my friend’s flv uploads to multiply.com. Certainly worth the wait
