RMR software releases their app suite for UIQ3
RMR Software today announced they are releasing an entire suite of software for UIQ phones. This is what Al Richey from RMR posted today at my-symbian:
Having told everyone I could not produce programs for UIQ3 because OPL was not supported, I have now managed to produce UIQ3 versions of RMRBank, RMRFuel, RMRExpenses and RMRCar.
BUT they are not what I would wish to produce. The only system I had available was to use the new Styletap Palm Emulator to run the Palm versions of the programs. As such, although most of the functionality is there, the User Interface looks very old-fashioned and clunky and nothing like the UIQ3 standard. And it involves driving a cursor around to simulate a touch screen.
The BETA versions are now available at www.rmrsoft.com.
It is worth to say that RMR used the new NSBASIC to compile the applications, and that is why they can be run outside styletap (thanks to George from NSBASIC for the explanation).
