Google Maps for UIQ3 updated
I was reading this article from AAS regarding an update of google maps for s60 v3, and i decided to check if UIQ3 version was also updated.
And indeed i spoted that a newer version is available: 2.0.6 (before we had 2.0.5). I did not try it yet, don´t now what´s new. S60 v3 version is higher, 2.1, but then again, its s60 v3 has been supported since before UIQ3.
To install the new version, go to http://www.google.com/gmm/ on your phone´s browser.
Edit: uiqblog reader Paker just told me this version was released several weeks ago - i had a feeling this could be the case, because version number is inferior o s60 v3 version, and also because i never bothered to check updates after the initial release.

ares i updated my gmaps to v2.06 about 20 (perhaps more!) days ago it hasnt changed much.now i’m waiting for v2.1 to see some improvements.
Yeah, i had a feeling that could be the case…i never tried to update after the first version…anyway, there will be alot of people like me i think

THERE ARE 2 software :“Google Maps and MOBILE-GMAPS”
and mobile-gmaps is for the ” tracking ” GPS and it work very well . I use it since 2 months .

by the way : I found wayfinder earth beta. Also very nice with no cost. It supports GPS as well. With this applications BeiBei and Paris have a good chance to become Navigation-phones!

Does someone know where/how to download a full screen version of Google Mail for Mobile compatible with the G900 ?
The browser keeps saying : “There is no version of Gmail Mobile for your Sony Ericsson UIQ.”

Oeil, i know about mgmaps, and also another one that is similar, j2memaps, both are decent, but are not native - they are java apps
Google 2.06 adds some shortcuts in menu like for zooming or back/forward.

Thanks. I already got it. The app won’t launch in full screen mode. We will have to wait until Google releases a dedicated version.
