“Are mobile reviews inherently unreliable?”

The usual narrative dictat suggests that customers want to buy good products. The companies want to sell products. And review- sites, while in a symbiotic relationship with the companies, must not betray their readers. Which if they did, would be unhealthy for their reputation. As well as unhelpful for the companies, since it would impact sales and customer relations.
And so it’s in the interest of both companies and reviewers to bring an as accurate picture of the new devices as possible.
But is that really true? When clear flaws are ignored, or feature sets are evaluated in the context of the company’s own specifications and sales- package - can we blame that on too little knowledge? Or on the relationship between the review- sites and the phone- manufacturers?
Are there other aspects to this - what do the customers really want to hear?
Discuss.
(Otherwise, open thread: “Han faar sige fra, hvad der staar i hende”, as it’s said.)
