W960 Battles N81 8GB

Mobile-Review posted a comparative review of 2 8GB Symbian smartphones (it’s a looooonnngggggg article, make sure you prepare your coffee…). Anyway, the reviewer stated that: “the Nokia N81 has earned more points (eight, to be precise), most of which are scores on the most vital fronts. And the W960i is a different creature – no doubt, it is an interesting product, it is handy in use, but… only as long as you don’t face it off against its closest rival”. Err… Different beasts with different powers I suppose… Head over to Mobile-Review.Com for the full texts (and tons of photos, as usual…)

  1. The review is really biased.

I mean the reviewer likes the N81 design… because it is conventional
and not the W960 because it is black…
(hmmm… what colour is the n81 then?)

What about visualisations corresponding to to mood of the song?
That should be considered atleast for a music phone review

and there is tons more of stupidy…
I don’t even feel like mentioning

Mobile-review has surely become anti sony-ericsson

  2. I am not actually sure why mobile-review has targeted the W960.After a hell of a negative review by Eldar, now this. this comparison also bashes the W960.

There are some points which I don’t agree. The W960 radio and sales package is much better than the N81.I’ve still not had a chance to compare the phones in terms of sound quality so can’t really comment. But the W960 does have impressive sound quality, that I have to admit. I’m tired of people simply writing off the W960 in terms of music quality saying ‘It lacks a dedicated sound chip’.

Its debatable whether the W960 is the better phone of the two, but I’d have appreciated if this comparison would have been on a more equitable basis.

  3. Eldar is simply stupid, i expected this anyway given the fact that he criticizes W960 alot on his dedicated W960 review. now he tries to appear balanced although his fact simply axes his hypocricy and biasness.

  4. Does this guy work for nokia? man, you can’t even compare them.
