Add keylock to your Gdesk desktop
This little tutorial will enable regular keyboard locking from inside Gdesk:
1- Install gdesk 0.30b
2 - Sign keylock_unsigned using open signed online
3 - Install the resulting signed file
4 - Enable GDesk Menu>Options>List system apps
8 - Enter design mode and add app>keylock
9 - Exit from design mode and press the ‘keylock icon’ and then the ‘run main icon’ only if you have kept GDesk to Replace Main
[Thanks to Gary Blue/Gdesk and Fuel from my-symbian for figuring this out, and of course kwull from smart-se.ru for yet another great piece of code]
thanks a lot !!! i need this keylock sis for a super long time since I change to use P1, actually I love gdesk this gr8 app, but the keylock movement is so hard to act. when I am using p1, so all problem had fix !!!! really gr8
I found out gdesk 0.30a and 0.30b when running the system app > keylock, 0.30a will keep at gdesk then act. key lock, but 0.30b will go standby mode for act. keylock then after 3sec back to gdesk ( because I had set a options in gdesk > replace main), can you help to report to author about this ?
I don’t know what you guys see on Gdesk, I prefer the standard version of my P1i, how much RAM Gdesk uses? anybody know about it?
eat less ram for gdesk, but gdesk just a lunchers that can customize your desktop, place your flavour applications and can assign key on it too. nice nice..
if you have a P1, you don´t need to be carefull about RAM usage lol
xo, go to my-symbian forum and report that situation to Gary
