Google Maps: native UIQ3 version released!

Google Maps Native for UIQ  Google Maps Native UIQ 3 client

It seems that slowly things are really starting to improve on the UIQ3 apps scene.

One of the biggest gripes we all have with our OS of choice, is seeing popular apps being released for s60 v3, while we are normaly left with a underpowered java version.

Google Maps was one of those cases: for some months, s60 v3 users had access to a native symbian version, with inclusion of the much talked my location feature. Meanwhile, we had the same old slow java app, with no my location feature.

Well, we are pleased to announce that Google has finally released a native UIQ3 version, with my location included, for UIQ3! Go to www.google.com/gmm from your phone browser to get the new version.

[thanks to cubii from my-symbian for the heads up]
