SSX 3 - great game present on latest W960 firmware

What you see above is the game SSX 3 running on a W960. This game is preinstalled in the latest W960 firmware version. As you can see, the game is clearly using 3d hardware acceleration, that alows it to pull some really impressive graphics withou harming the playability.

Lets hope this is a sign of things to come in terms of UIQ gaming.

Note: according to people who tested the game, it is VERY heavy on RAM.

UPDATE: UIQ3 hacker master WL as managed to get hold of the file, so every UIQ3 user can now test the game. To use the game properly on the P1, WL recomends that we install the game on memory card and:

rename all 10274BF9***.txt files into 2000f611***.txt (delete first 2000f611***.txt before renaming), path: mmc:\private\2000D856\2000f611***.txt

  1. Perfect!!!

  2. Took a while to install (I thought it had crashed) but after the TXT patch works great on the P1.
    Thanks!! :-)

  3. Glad it worked!!!

  4. I can’t hear any music (game soundtrack) on the P1.
    Can you?

  5. I’ve fixed the formatting probs.. again :P

  6. Nice :p

  7. I also do not have any music, game installed on m2 card on my P1i. Anybody can help? Otherwise it is great.

  8. Thanks for the game, it looks very interesting. It works well on a P990i?

  9. Oscar,

It cannot run on P990. Simple reason - it requires about 150% of the total RAM on P990. It will only run on phones with 128 MB RAM.

  10. Michell, thats not really true…a guy at esato reported it worked in his w950, so i guess it should work on a p990 after a fresh boot

  11. It runs on the P990: confirmed! Just looked to a post from a guy who tested it.

  12. Hi, I kinda screwed up the whole changing txt thing and it won;t reinstall, runs fine just no keyboard only wheel. can someone PLEASE e-mail the right contents of the folder (so the folder mmc:\private\2000D856)

    would be very much apreciated!

  13. I can’t hear any music on the P1.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks.

    The game is great.

  14. Hola,

I should mention that the music and the FX sounds are even better than the graphics - it is just that the sound file is more than 10 mb.

  15. Unfortunately…only W960 users can hear the music :(

  16. The game was designed to work for the W960 so I assume this is why the sound will not work, but if you buzz EA hard enough I’m sure they will make it available for download for other UIQ devices for a few $. You should write to their support@ea whatever.

I just counted the songs, they are around 30 ??? jess, cool ones I must say similar to the console from what I remember, some are new though.

Nintendo Wii Remote???? is it really working?

  17. it only doesn´t work because we can´t access protected folders on c drive ;)

yes, the wii think is working…i hope to make a video of it soon :)

  18. Wow great please do post those I’m sure that the 960 users will be more interested. Btw do you know were I can get UIQ3 hacker master WL? I assume you used this one and there should be a way to go around that protected stuff.

  19. WL is a person…you can find him at my-symbian ;)

Will post something about wiimote soon

  20. Is there any chance I could write you an email?

    Many thanks,
    SED
