P.I.P.S. v1.2 Released - Adds Support for UIQ 3.1/3.2
The latest version of P.I.P.S. now offers support for UIQ 3 phones running on Symbian OS v9.1 and v9.2. This makes P.I.P.S. available for all the current UIQ 3 phones.
In addition to support for Symbian OS v9.2, the leatest version of P.I.P.S. also includes support for IPv6, multicast support, new IOCTLs, and socket API enhancements as well as various bug fixes. In addition, there is a new P.I.P.S. libz library that offers a full-featured port of the Open Source zlib compression library (www.zlib.net). While this library was previously available to S60 developers (in the Open C release of November 2007) developers can now use basic compression, decompression, and operate on gzip (.gz) files from both P.I.P.S applications and native Symbian applications on UIQ 3 phones.
