W960 reviewed by SonyEricsson Blog
After reading the review, I am more convinced about the W960’s performance is better than the predecessor W950. I had the opportunity to test it for a couple of minutes during CommunicAsia 2007 in Singapore and the built quality was excellent. But I still didn’t understand why Sony Ericsson did not include a better looking stylus, it’s cheap…cheap… cheap…
Anyway, among interesting items I found in the review was the “Whole Page View” in Opera which is not available in previous UIQ 3 smartphones from Sony Ericsson (e.g. P990). Check this screenshot for to have a look :

This is just the zoom that has been put to 20 - 30 % and I referred to it as “Whole page view”, where it should have been “Whole page zoom”. Sorry! 
Hahaha… It was very convincing. I thought it was really a new feature of the Opera browser in W960. They (opera) should have included it like what they did in Opera Mini. Because believe it or not, whole page view is very useful in modern mobile browser.
Have you put that remark in your review as well? Coz it might have been misunderstood by others…

I have had ( kind of ) advantage of using W960 in everyday situations and although I do appreciate
its features , a few annoyances keep lowering the satisfaction .
1. When a call is coming through and you are listenning to music - instead of interupting the playing and using the normal call ringtone - that rotten phone gives few beeps hard to hear and notice .
Few times I just missed my calls .
So called support centre sent me an email in reply :
- Unfortunatley this is unable to be altered as this is a feature built in to the Software.

2. One key answer to a call has provision for working depending on weather ( or may be time of day , or maybe on which country you are in )
3. The most annoying is however the fact that you cannot select a directory as a playlist .
That means that you have to go through 1000 of titles to select few songs for each play list
As a student I have several mp3 lectures recorded to which I want to listen according to my choice .
Another reply from manufacturer :
- Unfortunately this handset will not allow you to set a directory as a playlist. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
