I followed the development of this app closely and I must say that what the developer (CellphoneSoft) did was really impressive. Linkboy is essentially an application launcher or shortcuts if you prefer… to launch not only applications but some other things as well like Control Panel stuff without going to dig into the Main Menu (Application Launcher) and opening Control Panel to find the stuff that we want.

LinkBoy provides up to 45 shortcuts to frequently used tasks, that can be displayed as executable icons on the standby screen. Shortcuts are available for the full range of applications, phone settings, multimedia files, web pages, contact actions, and common tasks. All key functions of the built-in standby screen are left intact by LinkBoy.
